I'm 20 years old, so I don't use it to play around and throw it about. So to any parents reading these reviews, I wouldn't recommend it for little kids.
Now, I read some of these reviews right before I bought it and I was concerned about the criticisms. But I bought it anyways and I'm really glad I did. I find it's about as durable as can be expected for a Lego toy this big. I don't know about others, but just putting it together was flat out fun. The instructions are pretty clear as long as you don't just skim over it, I got the wings right on the first try (it's very cool 'cause the "engine" spins in the opposite direction as the wings). The landing gear is more than adequate as far as supporting its weight and it stores nicely.
As I said, I don't really play around with it, I like to have it around, this toy just looks cool, and I admire the design. It's got tons of hidden compartments and moving parts. There's very little gimmicks (just a launching missile, and even that's pretty cleverly installed). It comes with 3 SW lego people, i don't care much for them, i put em in some box, though you can fit one in the cockpit.
Anyways, for anyone that's a Star Wars fan, or just a fan of building models/Legos, I really recommend this. Don't worry about the negative reviews unless you're gonna be throwing it around.
May the brick be with you! |

THIS IS NEEDED TO HAVE CARE CUZ ITS KINDA FRAGILE. BUT THERE WAS A PERFECT DESIGN LIKE IN THE GAME. ONE PROBLEM I HAVE BOUT THIS IS THE LANDING GEAR ISNT THAT DURable. |

I bought this Lego set for my grand nephew for his birthday. Both of my children (now adults) were Lego Junkies. I am delighted to see that the next generation shares this addiction. The fact that all the pieces can be used with other Legos to create new and excitating creations is wonderful. Best of all, no batteries !

| This was just what my son (8yrs old) wanted. Building frustrations were minimal and it even holds together for careful play. He is very proud of it and especially likes the moving and shooting parts. |
Good fun

| My son loves to collect these and this one was fun for him to put together. It really helps children to learn how to follow directions. I wouldn't buy any kind of lego set for a child under the age of 7-8, unless you plan on sitting there and building it with them. We made the mistake of buying one when he was 4 and we were the ones that had to put it together and then it's not really to be played with after-wards. Not like a 4yr old would play with it cause it will fall apart. Also keep all instructions for future use just incase it does fall apart, you'll need them! |
