My 10 year old grandson was thrilled with this kit and worked on it constantly until completed. The five year old was a little too young, but the 14 year old who still enjoys Legos liked it too.

purchase was for my 9 y/o son...he loves Legos especially Bionicles. This piece was a bit expensive but was worth it. It took him about two hours to build--working on it off and on. Not too dificult for him. he stated it was fairly easy. Once built, it looked awesome. Definitely would recommend this toy to anyone who likes Legos.

My son has loved Bionicles since he was 5. The series of books were his first "major" reads, getting him off to an early start in loving to read. Skopio has been another fun addition to his collection, encouraging skills like following instructions, problem solving when you mess something up, and overall patience, perseverance and the confidence boost of completing a difficult task well.
Great Gift but Beware the Wrapping

I love these Bionicls. They are great fun for my nephew. However, if you purchase this from Amazon, please note that "gift-wrapping" option means they stuff it into a blue cloth sack, two times bigger than the box with a gold draw ribbon. It looks like a laundry bag. You will have to re-wrap this yourself. Don't use this option.
Great building toy

My 11 year old son loves to build things so this was great for him. But once the assembly was complete, he had much less interest in it. He loved the act of building the Bionicle but, now has his assembled masterpiece displayed on a shelf. Wish it wasn't so expensive. It's a lot of money to spend on a toy that was fun for a few days.
