House of Gryffindor!

When I saw this item, I bought both it and the Diagon Alley set right away. It's just what I needed. When Ron, Hermione, and Harry want to plan something, do homework, or play wizard chess, they head straight to the common room. Then, after completing their homework, they go to bed. This set is a nice touch, especially if you're getting the whole collection. I love how it comes with books, the bedside cabinet, Scabbers, an owl, the fat lady portrait, the bed with scarlet curtains, etc. I could go on! The colors are not the best, but when you consider that the Gryffindor colors are scarlet and gold, I see where they're coming from. Even if you're not a huge Harry Potter fan, this set can add a lot to any legos you have. The only real downside of this set is that there's only one bed and only one chair in the common room. Overall, I think that this is a great set for all ages.
Not enough beds?

This set is great! It was just what I needed for Harry, Ron and Hermoine to relax and do their homework in! Best to make the box into a tray because of all the small pieces. I hate the colours because they are way too bright! I would also have liked another bed to go with the set, so Harry could actually sleep somewhere! I give it 3/5 for durability because it has so many loose parts. I love the bed and the portrait of the fat Lady, which swings around! This set is great when added to Diagon Alley shops and Hogwarts classrooms! I am getting the Hogwarts Express next! I can't wait!

I've been saving up for the Harry Potter Lego's and when I had a lot of them I needed a place for Harry, Hermione, and Ron to relax and do homework. What better place to do that than in the House of Gryffindor! this set includes the Gryffindor common room, the dormitories, and a backround for both rooms! When a Gryffindor needs to enter the tower they must first give the password to the portrait of the Fat Lady. Once inside they find a nice comfortable chair and a table complete with a lamp to work at. When their work is done the Gryffindors head up to the dormitories for bed. first they store their belongings in the little cupboard and then climb into the four-poster bed complete with velvet curtains just like J.K. Rowling describes in the books! It's a nice little place for your Harry Potter minifigures to settle down after a hard day of exams. Besides Harry, Ron, and Hermione need a place where they can talk about the Sorcerer's Stone without Snape listening in on their conversation. This set also includes Ron, his pet rat Scabbers, some books, a wand, and a little suitcase for Ron's belongings. So if your Harry Potter characters are tired after a hard day of levitating feathers and turning turtles into kettles I highly recommend the House of Gryffindor.
A good idea executed poorly

With all the sets I have there are multiple rons. Which of course is great because they can all double as Ron's brothers. This is one of three sets (the others being Diagon Alley and Hogwarts Classroom) that uses bright neon orange and pink pieces. I really wish they had two beds instead of one to play out Harry and Ron's rooms. So I bought two of the same set. This set also comes with Scabbers, a bit of luggage, some books and a large chair. The best feature really is the bed with its cloth canopy and small yellow blanket. I wish it could have been different but all in all its a good set -- durable and educational as all legos are.

"Password?" "Caput Draconis!"
This set is ok, except for the colors. The oranges, pinks, turquioses, and darker oranges are absurd! This doesn't capture the true color of the world of Harry Potter. The set however, is cool. You get a Ron figure in normal day wear, a scabber rat, a gray owl, the spinning portrait of the Fat Lady(just like the Hogwarts Castle, a "squashy arm chair"(though it isn't red like in the story), a lamp, books, and cabinet to keep stuff in, and the coolest part of this set: the four poster bed. The bed is cool, cause the veil is red decorated with stars, and made of the same material as the mini figures' capes. The bed has a nice, soft yellow cloth, which is the blanket, and does have its four posters! The set includes a backdrop for two rooms so one rooms is the common room, and the other is the boys' dormitory. This set takes a good 10-15 minutes to put together with the detailed instuctions. This set is ok, and is good to have if you want to get the whole collection like myself. I mean, where is Harry and Ron going to sleep? By the way, there should be more beds, and not only one. Where will Harry, Neville, Dean Thomas, and Seaman Finnigan going to sleep as well?
